Belkin Router Setup

Routers are the current backbone of the connected home. Setting up a Belkin router involves securing your network by configuring the router correctly. Although the routers are designed to get you up and running in no time configuration can be tricky if you haven’t done it before. Router settings are in the administration panel. Understand how to access the Belkin router panel to set up your administrator password to protect your router security.

Power cycling the modem and router

STEP 1: Start by unplugging the modem and the router from any power source connected.

STEP 2: Use Ethernet cable to connect the modem to the WAN (Internet port) of the router.

STEP 3: Press the ON button to power on the modem (first) then power your router by plugging them back to the power source.

STEP 1: Connect the PC to one of the Ethernet ports (1) of the router

STEP 2:  Launch any web page and enter the router default IP address in the address bar and press {ENTER}. Belkin’s router default IP address is Click here for troubleshooting information if you have any difficulty accessing the default IP address. STEP 3: Click Login 

STEP 4: Don’t add a password and click submit.Trouble finding the router web-based setup page click here.

STEP 5: Click Connection Type under Internet WAN

STEP 6: Select Connection Type. Then Click Next

STEP 7: Enter your ISP details and click Apply Changes Button


Setup Wireless Feature On Belkin Router

Click on the Wireless tab to configure in the setup page. You can change the Wireless network name and wireless channel as shown below


Enable Wireless Security 

Click on security under wireless tab. Follow the steps provider as shown below
